To meet this need, Precious Plate offers wide-stock plating lines that can pre-plate tin, nickel, and other metals on coil-stock weighing up to 10,000 lbs (4536 kg).
If required, material plated with pure tin can be run through a tin reflow process to reduce the risk of tin whisker formation. Once plated, manufacturers of automotive electrical connectors and other plated components can cost effectively stamp parts as needed from the pre-plated coil-stock.
